Painting/Staining MDF buildings
« on: January 23, 2020, 12:22:11 AM »
Hello all long time lurker. I'm gearing up to run a weird west home brew savage worlds game.  I have purchased a few Sarrsia buildings to start to build my first wild west town.

My search fu is lacking but I was wondering how well these MDF buildings take wood stain.  I have quite a few buildings to put together and paint and looking for some good ways to do so.  Any links to some good tutorials would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

I have had decent luck staining MDF - I used a cherry stain on the deck of my zeppelin here:

I painted mine but found it useful to give them a coat of watered down PVA first; they soaked up a hell of a lot of paint before I thought to try that.
