And White Dwarf (prior to the GW acquisition)  used to be a great magazine, loads of varied articles (though most were fantasy based), some off the wall ideas about gaming, artwork and a lot of stuff pertaining to AD&D.

I has many copies but gave them away, looking at the prices they are now fetching, well.......  lol

Off topic - I hadn't thought that there was much demand for early White Dwarf issues considering I've had a load listed for months now in the Bazaar.  ::)

Ah, that is a common misapprehension.

The magazine you mention so fondly was owned by Games Workshop, it was the takeover by Citadel and the move to Nottingham you are referring to.

I have the feeling that they published one of Charles Stross's first articles (The Grey Men).
