Hi everyone.
A few weeks ago i decided to participate in Stronghold Terrains yearly Saga Army Building event and start a anglo danish Warband.
So... this is my little topic to share and archive my progress. Critique & Comments welcome.

Nice figures and nice painting.

They look a lot like Rus or Varangians or something though. They don’t look too Anglo-Danish! :)

Thanks!
@Captain Blood
Because they are. :) Miniatures are Varangians from V&V. I´m aiming for Cnut the Greats North Sea Empire. So they are a bit more danish than english. Maybe from south sweden? If i remember correctly there where major eastern baltic influences in the region. Anyway i think an army of this time should be a rather diverse bunch. Got a pack of Victrix Late Saxon/ Anglo Danes yesterday. So these fellas should stand out a bit. Fitting for Hearthguard.

Those are nice figures right enough, I've not seen V&V painted up before but they look good!

Looks great!

The V&V miniatures are beautiful. The only negative is they are bit to big compared with the footsore and Victrix mini's.

Thanks everyone!

So... feburary. Task is one point of warriors. I choose a mix of Victrix new Anglo Danes/ Late Saxons, 1 Gripping Beast and 1 Stronghold Terrain Miniature. The last one isn´t the most historical accurate, but i got him from a friend who also anticipates at the "Heerschau". Thought it woulb be a nice touch to include the figure. Planed to change his boots to something more suitable but didn´t think its worth the hassle.

Yes they are! But i think they work quite well with the new Victrix kits. I include a size comparison.

Nice! Have you gotten in many games with Anglo-Danes using loaner armies, or anything? Very fun warband to play!
