[Rules Review] Longstreet
« on: February 26, 2020, 01:14:35 PM »
Hi, I hope it's okay to start treads which basically are just a link to a review article. After 5 years I finally managed to write up a rules review of Sam Mustafa's Longstreet:

As always the article is available in English and German language. Hope you find the review interesting and useful!

Excellent review - I always enjoyed seeing anything by Sam Mustafa in the old MWAN magazine. Even if I disagreed with him, I enjoyed his thought process to get to his conclusion!

@Littlearmies: Thanks very much! Yup, he seems to know how to write entertainingly, and his design approach is different to other wargames rules authors it seems.

@fairoaks024: Cheers. :) Yup, give them a go. Acquiring the rulebook should be possible (either printed or pdf), the cards you'll most likely have to get printed or print them yourself. As I said - it's probably not for everybody, but it gives a fast and fun game.

@OB: Thank you for reading it and commenting!

@Belisarius: Planning to! So far I got Chain of Command, Sharp Practice, Four against Darkness, Advanced Song of BLades and Heroes, Last Days, Twilight of Divine Right, Ronin and I'm sure I forgot one or two on the new site/blog. Next I'll add the excellent Sellswords&Spellslingers (fantasy cooperative rules. Unique, clever stuff.)
