O Group and Kampfgruppe Ö -- Beginning my British force
« on: March 01, 2020, 10:06:07 PM »
After looking all over for a decent tutorial on the Denison smock at 6mm, I threw in the towel and homebrewed by own secret formulation. Which I think worked out well enough for this scale. Now I've got to decide how to base the squads and teams...in the meantime, did the squaddies for the first platoon, still in need of Brens and the HQ/crewed stuff.

I reckon they look great. Very nice work. If I could offer one suggestion, I would go for a darker brown for the trousers to lift the contrast between trousers and base colour for the Denison.

Wow!  A wee bit too small for me.  Looking good.

Thanks gentlemen. And I'll see if that tweak to the trousers yields a good effect, Shahbaraz.

First basing efforts. I'm on the look for some creative basing ideas, as I'm certain to need some.  That said, only 8 more of these to go. Such easy painting compared to my usual subjects.

More gun teams and command to finish out A Co and get B Co underway.

Terrific basing choices, and as your colors and materials don't obscure your figures.  This will help with the figure scale, and for from regular tabletop viewing distance.

What's your game mat/playing surface look like I wonder?

Thanks FXW.  I'll probably do myself a custom mat for this project.

This is the sum progress of new brushwork for me lately. Been quite busy under the current circumstances. No complaints...

C&C welcome.

Lovely work on such a small scale
I am not sure but the sherman looks a bit yellow may just be the light you took the photo under
