15mm Early Imperial Romans in "Heroic" Proportions?
« on: March 03, 2020, 05:58:42 PM »
There's a range of 15mm fantasy models that looks like little versions of British-sculpted figurines (in that rather chunky style) -- they look great and seem extremely popular so I thought I might test the waters to see if there'd be interest in doing that for historical ranges as well.

Here's a 15mm Early Imperial Roman in the heroic proportions, in lorica segmentata. All you would have to do is add shield and serve.  :)

Any interest?

If so I may run a "khurastarter" which would involve paypal payments so it would avoid my losing 10% of proceeds to a certain company, and would also allow shipping to be handled as part of the pledges.  It would also benefit the pledgor because if the product is not delivered within six months, he can just put in a claim and get his money back, unlike certain crowdfunding platforms I could name ….

Correct 15mm (to top of head)?

Style-wise he is reminiscent of the classic Mike's Models range (later Essex) which still have a strong and dedicated following.

Well, if the size fits with my Copplestone collection, I would be a „Khurabacker“ ;)

Can you show a photo with a scale/ruler next to the model?

If they fit the Copplestone models, you would surely reach quite a bunch of people. Here in the forum there are a lot of fans of those.

But just to be sure : which line of fantasy British are you referring to?

Interested. Was disappointed to learn that there will never be the romans from Copplestone to fight the barbarians. These look the part. So there is still hope.

Thanks Dante! Moving forward with these, having dollies made to make legionaries and artillery crew.
