Frostgrave At Last
« on: March 05, 2020, 01:46:53 PM »
I am very late to the party. When Frostgrave came out in 2015, I was in the middle of a career change and real world stuff got in the way.

Then once I got resettled I was neck deep in my own design work.

Now that I am between projects I am hankering for some fantasy skirmish like my old love, Mordheim. I've been playing some Warcry and it's fun, but it's not quite scratching the itch.

So here I am at Frostgrave's front door! I just ordered the rules, and I've picked up the North Star plastic Soldiers and Wizards. One of the nice things is that the Warcry terrain will work well for the setting, I think.

I did see on Amazon that there's a 2nd ed. solicited for July 2020. Any news on that? I am assuming it will incorporate refinements over the last five years.

Thanks for picking it up and giving it a try!  Second Edition, still months away, does incorporate a lot of the refinements, but hasn't made any sweeping changes to the way the game is played.

Nice! I have long wanted the rules just for the art and quality of the book, so I will happily use it for the next few months and then grab the new edition.
