I've heard about it... even seen some clips of a very badly animated... dragon(?)... in front of the 'City Hall' of Copenhagen....

Try 'Island of Lost Souls' instead, if it hits your Cinemas... might redeem my country just a little bit....

Not Sci-fi, though, more like fantasy/horror, I think. Have only seen a few scenes...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Oh, I think that there is quite a number of Danish movies worth seeing...

*nudge nudge wink wink* :P ;)

... and yes, I actually like some of the "Dogma" stuff, too. Not that I understand it.

If anyone does get a chance to see reptilicus, here are a couple of things to look for :

The Danish gouvernment gave the movie makers money but in return they had to include some touristic shots in the film. When a big-time army general gets word of fragment of a giant reptile being found and -gasp- it is still alive; he races to see this in a lab somewhere. But not before the professor of the lab takes him on a scenic route trough the city. (Look, there is the mermaid and now lets have a drink in a local pub and see a singer perform)
Hilarious!

Since it was a big budget movie (well, depending on the standards, i guess) the producers wanted to market this film internationally and wanted it to be spoken in english. The problem was that they were working with national actors that mostly didnt speak english, so they came up with the 'perfect' solution : We'll just learn the lines phonetically!
Obviously this makes for interesting pronounciations :)

Had loads of fun watching it, but then again, I'm a b-movie fan.

Not trying to hijack this threat but I just remembered another movie.
Its not dino though.

If you are going to watch older movies, check out "the forbidden planet"

Robbie the Robot (who gave himself an oiljob in the movie - not making this up-), a young Leslie Nielsen and a professor, his beautyful daughter, a monster and and entire spaceships' crew crammed in a movie when political correctness was sci-fi. Loved it.

Ohhh, Forbidden Planet! Easily my favourite "Golden Age" Sci-Fi movie. Robbie is totally lovable, but the C-57 may be the only ship that I like more than the Raumkreuzer Orion.

If you are looking for funny English, try watching the news when somebody from the Danish government (our Prime Minister in particular) is visiting the White House... that should do the trick

Why would we need to wait for the news from Denmark? Anytime the president opens his mouth, we get our ears filled full of ridiculous English.

is it just me or is the white-ish form down left some kind of Exploding Poodle that Shall Not be Named?

*shivver*
 :)

BTW, I went to see this movie with StevenK. In Belgium there's this guy who organises "The Night of Disgust". Every two years he travels the cinema's of Belgium with his show, and during such an evening with "TNoD" he shows lot's of trailers from all kinds of B-Movies, including Indian Werewolf stories (which seem to contain some awful similarities to The Sound of Music -please don't ask  :o !), semi-erotic kungfu Flash (FLESH!) Gordon pastiches, Godzilla clones like Reptilicus, scifi flicks with coke cans starring as hightech battleships, and more (sadly so).

It's rather educational, I can tell you. It seems there are lots of extraordinary movies out there...

BTW, and a bit more on topic: did anyone see the movie
"The Island at the Top of the World"

.
I don't remember seeing this one, and he looks very interesting. Zeppelins, vikings, professors, adventure...

So, is this one any good?
