Avanpost 28mm TYW
« on: March 07, 2020, 09:03:33 AM »
If you look at Avanpost's Facebook page, you'll see that they have a large number of new 28mm TYW figures in the pipeline. They look excellent, but sadly they're resin, not metal.

Resin, I'm afraid. I'd be much more interested if they were metal. I can't paint and so get all my figures painted by those who can. I don't really want to go to the expense of getting a resin figure painted, only for it to break. Pity, because they're such nice figures and I think they'd match in well with Horcata - and I have a few of those waiting for some additions to make up a new unit.

Agreed. Too much potential for breakage sadly.....

Lovely figures, but like you I don't like working with resin (great detail, but very breakable).

Great news that they're going to make their TYW figures available in metal. New units, here we come!

Yes, I've done that too. The walking figures - so only standing firmly on one foot - are particularly frail. Irritating, isn't it?

Just a few figures to start with. I suspect it will take a while for the whole range to become available in metal. But it is certainly good news.
