INSS Empress Eulalie Soares - Cargo Deck
« on: March 09, 2020, 02:26:24 PM »
Postponed from last year I'm back at work on a game for Kubla Con this year. Rather than resurrect the old thread here:
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=115256.0  I'll try and pick up where I left off here.

Set in the Traveller universe play will be set on an Imperium Battle Cruiser that has been heavily damaged. Attempting to escape the battle the cruiser mis-jumped into a sector of Zhodani controlled space and has been boarded by a party from a Zhodani destroyer that happened on the injured cruiser by sheer luck.
The cruiser's Jump drive needs repairs before the ship can jump to a safer part of space.

In addition to defending the ship from the Zhodani boarders each Imperium player will have a task they will need to accomplish in the effort to make another jump to a safer rendezvous point.

Play will take place on four to five decks of the ship connected to one another by lifts and gangways. Each Imperium player will start on a different deck.

Today we'll look around the Engineering deck. Here are a crew of Able Spacers.

Some of the scenic bits for this deck:

A pair of lifts that will transport player crews between the ship's decks.

A pair of generators

The Jump drive field generators

A couple of power coupling work stations.

Looking good.  I like the look you've achieved with the Hasslefree Modern Troopers by using orange instead of a more traditional camouflage.

Over the last few days I was able to finish up most of the rmaining crews for the game.

First, on the Imperium side:

Bridge Crew.

Imperium Ship's Troops

Captain of the Imperium Naval Space Ship Eulalie Soars, Lady Tiberia "Tibby" Spode 375th Earl of Sidcup.

Two of the Zhodani Boarding Party crews

Zhodani EVA Troopers

And the dreaded Zhodani Commandos

Great stuff! I especially like the Able Spacers. Amazing how the jumpsuit color can transform the minis.

Since most of my crews are complete I have got back into working on scenery.

The game will be played over 4 or 5 maps, each about 2 feet by 3 feet in area. Lifts and ladderways will allow players to move their crews from deck to deck in order to achieve their objectives.

The first deck I'm going to work on is the Cargo Hold. Mostly because a majority of the scenery here is close to completion.

Here we have the deck which is a commercial image from Heroic Maps that I mirrored
 to make larger.

A closer view with some of the various containers I have bought or created and a couple figures for scale.

This is a cargo handling work vehicle I made from an AT-ST kit.

I have some larger cargo container pieces and some work stations to add that will finish this deck off. Hopefully those will come soon.

Where are the jump field generators from?
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)
