First game of Relicblade
« on: 09 March 2020, 08:46:42 PM »
My wife and I got our first game of Relicblade in. She took the Battle Pigs and I took Bones & Darkness. We played a 76pt death match just to get familiar with the rules. Her toughness and superior numbers won the day as I started getting surrounded. I'm sure my Bones would do better in an objective based encounter. More photos and a bit more detailed write up on my blog: https://wyndehurstproductions.blogspot.com/2020/03/aar-relicblade.html

Great looking setup,

I really like the artwork in this game and the miniatures are really cool. How did gameplay feel?

Game play is easy and fun and quite intuitive. It is very much ment to be a mission or narrative driven game, not a strate up death match.

I don't think there's a UK stockist any more. Infamous JT used to stock it, but that was prior to the new edition. This has put me off ordering it for the time being, as postage (& customs charges  if ordering miniatures) will make it pretty expensive. It might be worth emailing Metal King to enquire whether Sean is looking into getting UK & European distribution again, as I've been meaning to do.

P.S. I've just emailed him so you don't have to - though I suppose he may give it more consideration if more potential overseas customers show an interest.

I think I emailed him a while back - to ask about PDF availability ... my impression was that there is one on the website?

I've just received a reply from Sean at Metal King Studio - he's "working on getting some product over there". An announcement will be posted on his site once it's set up.

Exit 23 games have an advert in the show guide for Salute as going to be stocking the Relicblade miniatures range.

I recently bought the 2nd edition of the rulebook direct from Sean Sutter. The postage doubled the price but I really don't mind, its such a beautiful product. The talent of the guy blows my mind and I am happy to support him.

Hopefully I will be convincing a few friends to join me for. A larger order of stuff later in the year.

Overseas shipping is bad enough, but it gets even more expensive if you buy miniatures and cards because they're liable for customs VAT. I really hope the UK stockist, whoever it may be, gets plenty of product in.
