Ancient German cavalry
« on: March 11, 2020, 06:20:18 PM »
I've recently completed the 6th base of these Ancient Germans. They are mostly repaints or touch ups of figures I painted about 16years ago. I'm really pleased with the results.

I've done a good deal of infantry and skirmishers as well, but I'd like a few more finished so I can have a decent sized game at the club against my late republican romans.

Very much agree on both points. Always fancied that range myself, but... so many projects, so little time  ::)

I like the shields!

They are simple, yet effective.

It clearly demonstrates you do not need fancy designs from decals to have great figures.

Great work!

These Mark Copplestone Ancient Germans are probably my favourite range of ancients. I have loads of the infantry, and every single one is a real character.
I have some of his future wars bikers too, and I think he does the barbaric bearded-badass look very well.
My armies:
- Henry VIII's army (WIP) 15mm
- Ancient Germans (28mm)
- Ancient Belgae (Gauls with German allies) (28mm)
- Massilian Greeks (Greeks and Gallic mercenaries/subjects) (28mm)
- A few EI Romans (28mm)
- Handful of WW2 British (15mm)
- A load of old 1993-1999ish Warhammer Orcs and Goblins
