Cracking builds, both of them, and they both are very original as well!

I like the outcome of the UFO! Curious to see if you will paint the unbroken one in the same colourscheme!

Fabulous, really.

The slime and gloop in McMordain's entry is beautifully done.

Have to say though, I think the carousel may just be my favourite piece from the whole field of entries. It is just such a fecking simple but ingenious idea. I mean, what better use for wargames horses? And the weathering is perfect. It's not the most technically accurate of entries, but it's just so wonderfully evocative and tells such a story, from such a simple little creation. I love it.

You made me blush there, Captain, grtting such a compliment from one the most inspiring members on LAF.

I actually planned the carousel to be more technically (mechanic) challenging, but I didn't manage to make it motorised in time. I may still do that, but for now it can go round, and the horses go up and down when it does go round. And that's more than I had expected beforehand

The vivid colours and general dank swampiness in the UFO build is great! It hints at a story, but can clearly be a useful bit of sci-fi scatter terrain for general gaming.
l find the carousel really creepy. It looks so neglected and filthy, and I half expect that clown from It to appear any moment.
Great work both of you!

I have to agree with the others, that carousel is really creepy. I would not want to go near it on a misty night :) Great job.

I may still do that, but for now it can go round, and the horses go up and down when it does go round. And that's more than I had expected beforehand
That sounds cool, I would like to see a video about it moving.

As for my own creation, I took the picture before the water effect cured properly. I added some phosphorescent paint to the water effect, that is why it is white in the lower right corner. I really liked that milky effect. Unfortunately once it dried the whiteness was gone and it became transparent. Apparently the phosphorescent pigments sank to the bottom, while the rest became transparent... I have to experiment some more with it, this was the first time I used a water effect.

I like the outcome of the UFO! Curious to see if you will paint the unbroken one in the same colourscheme!
That is the current plan, though it is a long way away from painting  lol

These entries really tell a story of abandonment.   Love them both.  Voting is so hard...
