Damn good, better than I can do. Perhaps a matte varnish over the glossy coat, after the glossy coat has dried for at least a full day. Also, I notice higher contrast works at 3 foot distance, so exaggerate highlights/shadows? That said, I have trouble doing that because I paint close up, not 3 feet away.

But very nice work.

You've done these in a beautiful style, and the colors are light, and highlighted well too.

Not a criticism at all, and the only suggestion I could offer would be to vary their hair color if you're doing larger [unit/group] quantities.

Beautiful figs!  My only 2 suggestions have already been mentioned - a matte varnish and different hair colors...

Well done, though!

Thank you all!
When I paint a soldier of an infantry regiment, there is always a chance to hide the least successful figures behind the backs of better painted figures. ;)
I will add new photos until I paint the whole regiment.

A nice start.

I notice the faces have a number of different styles applied, is that deliberate experimentation?
If so, I'd say a combination of 2nd from left and middle figures in the bottom two most recent photos would be spot on.

Hope to see more.

Cheers

I'm not a gamer so I generally base figures individually, rather than to the requirements of specific rule sets.
For me, a base ought to be a little wider than the mini.

If you mean the decorative aspect of basing; the workbench section of the forum is full of great threads regarding how to go about it.
Everybody has a different style, I'm not the best at it so I think you will find much better guidance there than I can offer here.

Cheers

Please forgive me. Give me a link to the section on grounds (bases). I do not know much about the forum.

The thing is, I don't play wargame either. Because my Confederates are so ferocious that there is no northerner army within 600 km of me.  :D
I plan to put the figures on the group stands. The soldiers will be shoulder to shoulder. I think it will be historical.

Regards,
Dmitry.

Here is a link to the workbench section

https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?board=20.0

Or....

Tap the search bar on the left of the screen and type in any related terms, such as -

Base
Bases
Basing

As I say, I'm no expert on basing, I would love to be able to help further, perhaps a look at the baccus site, where they have a Basing system, might give you some ideas.

It's sold around 6mm but the system applies to all scales
