In this project I tried to assemble and paint the wonderful zvezda medieval castle... After various experiments I decided to paint each and every stone of it several times, to get the result I wanted. You may see the process here.

Do you mind if I ask what scale is the castle?

My thinking is that part of it would be very useful for converting into a Late Me. fortified manor- what do you think?

Do Zvezda still do the 28mm versions?

Each brick painted individually, that's a labour of love, but it certainly works, very effective.

Thank you Atheling. The castle may do also for 28mm figures, but it is designed for the 20mm plastics. I didn't know zvezda was doing any 28mm versions. I think it is excluively for 20mm plastics. Here are two shots of the complete project.

It's a tad early for this year's Sad Anorak Award, but seeing as how the plague will have killed most of us by August, here goes...
In the gatehouse alone I've calculated that there's nigh on 1,500 stones.

Painting each stone like that sure creates a great looking effect, a lot more character than just dry brushed great. I respect your meticulous dedication.

I believe its Miniart instead of Zvezda.

Nevertheless its great.
