A Bit of Painted Fantasy
« on: March 29, 2020, 07:44:45 PM »
So, I have been remiss in posting a few fantasy figures I mixed into my paint tables during these ever so trying times.

Repanse de Lyonesse - finally done after I bought her new in 1997.  o_o

I added a Dark Angel banner to her some years ago, because I thought it fit well with her thematically, but never did paint her.

And some wagons - I'm going to add ponies to these for use with my dwarf army eventually.

Nice! I particularly like the carts... but I love mundane things like that. The banner works well, good call.

Nicely done!  I bet she had given up hope of being painted, too.  Her story gives hope to all of your other venerable unpainted miniatures!*

Don't let my long-neglected minis hear about this...

Afraid they will rise up in rebellion?  Although I did just trade for a Ral Partha Greek Hoplite force that is all dated to 1977 through 1980 for playing Men of Bronze.

And I did just find my original set of Dragonlance Heroes from Ral Partha as well...

"Afraid they will rise up in rebellion? "

Am I the only one here who has had nightmares about that?

My oldest are some old Hinchliffe medieval figures and some early Ral Partha and Grenadier.  If I knew where they were I would paint a couple to honor Repanse. I know I can lay my hands on some of Citadel's Dwarf "tribes" figures from 1980/1981, purchased at Dungeons and Starships in Birmingham, my first trip to the the U.K.  I may go have a rummage tomorrow morning.
