Just finalised a blog post around the Deluge project with Poles and Cossacks, I took the opportuntiy to talk through my approach to painting horses and figures in brief if anyone is interested its here, I dont pretend to be an expert in anyway, this is just my take. Its a fairly long one, hope it provides soem light relief for anyone self isolating.  Special mention to Ken Riley my old painting mentor.

Looking good Roger, well done. It’s quite an eclectic collection of figures...

Much as I love Nick Collier’s sculpting and TAG’s wonderful output, I have to say those now venerable Copplestone Cossack sculpts from Foundry really do take some beating for sheer character :)

The Old Glory figures, not so much, alas  :(

Cheers Matt.

Captain Blood, I couldnt agree more. Pike is the main gap if I am to use Foundry and as chum Jerry had gifted me a bag of Old Glory the Yorkshireman kicked in "Waste not want not" I am tempted to add Warfare Cossacks to the mismatched mass, another bunch of nice figures. A couple of the Redoubt Zaporojians also look nice, although others not so much. Lets see where this goes.
