« on: September 09, 2019, 04:15:27 PM »
Hello again all,
Here are 3 character sculpts I did lately

A Cyborg/Elephant man Bounty hunter.

A  Levitating Crime Boss / Psyker

A Rad Zombie Boss , to add to my horde of Micropanzer scifi zombies.

More pics at the link.

Thanks for your comments

What I wanted to add ... as I have been asked.

I use different kinds of putty.
One of my favourite ones is milliput, most probably since I have been using it for eons. Sometimes I mix a little bit of plasticene to it for a softer mix & it still hardens well.

I use Green stuff world brown & green stuff also.

And if I need bulk , i also use Sylmasta A+B putty .It can also be mixed with other putties as well. This putty is extremely hard when cured.

Sometimes i use different putties on the same model as well. Depends what I have at hand.

Those critters are really great! They have a nice "other world" feel to them.

Thanks all,
Here is the post where you can see more.

Still have to get a stick of procreate as I heard good words about it. Tried oven hardening putties but had no success with them. Not for me.

I do tend to experiment a lot, so it is a case for finding what works best for you.

Another thing , sprue makes a good skeleton support for builds also.

Ordered some Procreate online today. Cheaper on Amazon than Greenstuff world. Especially since it doesn't have to come from overseas. Definitely going to give it a whirl!

Oh, those are great! Love all your critters. I have some progress on a couple of my sculpts. I'll try and throw them up in my thread today!

Thanks Cook.
I mostly do my critters bit by bit when I have bits of extra putty. For e.g. the lizard man body was done around a year ago & finished this week. I mostly do them on a whim.

Yes pls do post.

The lizard man is of particular interest to me. I like his rotundity.

Thanks Cook,
I like him also, I imagined him walking in a woobly way from due to his sizeable tail wagging from side to side. His 3 eyes allow him to almost never being surprised. His T-Rex style teeth deter others even when he smiles genially. I think I'll call him Cecil or some such since he's a big game hunter, as shown by the hefty shotgun he wields.

Thanks Ockman.
I also like him, as I think that the fusion of flesh ( putty ) & metal ( sprue ) came out quite convincing.
I will have to think up how he came to being like this . A failed experiment, a horrific accident, an ex soldier ?

The elephant reminds me of the Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant from Adventure Time:
