Gents,

Another post…this time on the expanding Spartan force. I see red is what you will see…the Spartans will continue to expand as the lightly clad/naked hoplitai aka sailors and/or ekdromoi (phalanx skirmish hoplites) are on the paint table to follow...plus more of these men of the Peloponnese.

Probably look at basing next and then time to thrust this crew into action…

Gents,

On to basing and getting the first big block units done for the big battle.

…Some nice pics and discussion about how I base figures for large numbers of figures.

Hope it is of some use...

They look stunning! I really like the flock mix you've made, it looks really natural.

Thanks guys,

Plenty more to come down the line. These units should look really good once they’re all organised and en masse.

As you can see, and are no doubt aware, hoplites really do look impressive when arrayed in dense formations.

Stay tuned for more!

Cheers

Small pic of some a selection of the Foundry civilians just finished. Have been experimenting with some color combinations and Army Painter dip mix 'n match.

The World of the Greeks range really is a cracking good line of figures. These will be part of some Men of Bronze skirmish game action...
