Gents,

It’s been a little while but things have been getting done. If you like hoplites then you should like this post…nearly 800 hoplites ready to hit the table.

I hope you find some eye candy worthy of a look.

Cheers

Thanks Chaps,

They do look good all ranked up but better on table.

@DBA...actually, they can be used for DBA! Two bases side by side gives a perfectly usable ‘single base’ so you could have twelve ‘elements’ on table, each being 8” wide with 32 figures on it! Maybe that would be a DBA world record  :o :o ;D

One of the main design goals of this ‘universal’ base method was to get maximum use across all game systems using the same figures...so the armies can be used from command and colors ancients  / DBA through to Hoplomachia...all using the same basing system.

Fantastic work. That is some real dedication to crank out that many hoplites, and they look smashing.

I've become a bit daunted in my own hoplite project and it has languished for a while now.

Thanks for the comments chaps...much appreciated.

As promised, here are some 'on table' shots of the hoplites arrayed for battle. In some cases ...in battle!

I've been focusing on getting minis completed so no big hoplite battle reports as yet but they will follow.

There are some nice big hoplite units in action here.

Enjoy

Gotta admit, I love when people share pictures of "4x8" units... makes me feel like I'm doing something "right" when I take forever painting 32 figures per unit  lol
