missed the earlier installments of this somehow ...

great looking board, and fun sounding AARs.

Nice terrain. Makes me think I'll have to get back to my Frostgrave terrain making so I can get a few games in.

Super reports! Did I notice a small or medium construct in some of the pics?

Is it stock from somewhere or did you build it? Thanks!

Thanks folks. Hoping to get another game in this week. Maybe even tonight if time (and the missus) permits.

Super reports! Did I notice a small or medium construct in some of the pics?

Is it stock from somewhere or did you build it? Thanks!

Which ones? I think the two construct types I've used so far are the Lava Golems and Automatons from Mythic Battles: Pantheon, which was a KS board game I pillaged the minis from.

It's been a while since I picked up my solo campaign, but my nameless wizard is back in Isher's Weapon Shop.
A successful run through that saw only the party's zombie and warhound taken out.
Teams of mercenaries allowed them to gang up on any wandering gnolls while the Thief and Treasure Hunter nabbed the treasures
When Borock showed up the party were already on their way home, and were able to gang up on him, taking him out and running out before they were swamped by gnolls

The table is set and the party start up by the entrance.

The spellcasters take no time removing the knight.

While the warhound and zombie run interference with the thugs.

The mercenaries form two groups to get that gang up bonus.

The warhound is taken out but the archer avenges him.

The plan to gang up pays off.

Then the mercenaries start to pick the locks.

With the treasure out, the thief grabs the first one.

Then the Treasure Hunter is leaped over to grab the second.

Meanwhile back at the door, gnoll reinforcements have arrived.

As does Borock the turn after.

The thugs and Infantryman hang back, and take out the gnoll boss while the remaining party escape.

With gnolls hot on his heels, the Infantryman makes it to the door and its home and dry!

The warhound going to miss the next game, but with Borock dead and the treasure secured, it's a successful run!

Great stuff. I like the vinyl floor tiles, I came up with the same solution last year - easy, fast and inexpensive.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Thanks folks. I need to remember the board size is 2.5x2.5 and not 2x2.5 although I don't think it's made a huge difference to games.

With any luck I'll get another game in this week!

Today I ran through the Old Scores solo scenario. Its designed for starting warband. As my teams a little tougher I decided that I'd run through it but only take XP for the scenario and not spells.
The crossbowman and thugs are on the hunt for a snow leopard. As such they veered off from the party, but were able to take it out after a bit of a scuffle.

The rest of the party took out the skeletons, with the Infantryman limping out before investigating the special markers. Which gained the Barbarian a magic weapon and the zombie doom loot to take back.

The thief grabbed the Armour of Redwald before everyone made it back out while being harassed by a rather pesky wraith.

No injuries is good and some handy loot to boot. If only all days in Felstad were like this.

The tables set with the wraith guarding the Armour of Redwald

The wizard takes no time at all to Elemental Bolt the wraith back were it came from.

While the archer picks off a skeleton.

The warband advances, as do the skeletons.

The wraith reappears followed by the snow leopard.

The Infantryman takes out a skeleton but as it's a big draw ends the fight with only 2 health.

The thief ignores the combat and runs for the treasure.

Free of danger for now, the warband investigate the markers. The Barbarian grabs a magic weapon, the zombie grabs a treasure which later turns out to be gold and a +2 damage magic hand weapon while the archer finds an unpleasant surprise one a Skelton.

But luckily his companions are in hand to help.

The crossbowman and thugs charge the snow leopard but it takes a big bite out of the crossbowman.

The wizard once more takes out the wraith.

Only to have it reappear right by the exit.

Everyone heads out with the zombie securing the treasure.

Finally killing the snow leopard the crossbowman and thugs head home. With his new magic weapon in hand, the Barbarian charges into the wraith but is finds himself suffering for it.

With a little assistance, the Barbarian is able to finish off the wraith and its smooth sailing with some pretty sweet loot!

8) way cool !!!

Thanks :)

Todays solo outing was They Mostly Come At Night.

I randomly rolled up the creatures of the night and ended up with a varied hoard that featured a vampire, snow trill, bear, boar, , white gorilla snow leaped, wolf, imp, a couple of small constructs, wild dogs, Ice toads, skeletons, ghouls and a whole bunch of rats.

The spellcasters woke up and started concentrating fire on the vampire before he could get close enough.

The faster creatures started got into combat quickly and started picking off the sleepy soldiers.

The thief and zombie put on some great tanking but the hoard would get the better of them.

The spellcasters would then be absolutely useless and the hoard would take both thugs, the dog, Barbarian and the zombie. The Barbarian would survive but the thugs and dog were outright killed.

With one last turn remaining, all that was left was a single imp which would get gang squashed just before reinforcements would arrive.

The wizard was down to 5 health, treasure hunter, Infantryman and crossbowman were all down to about 2 at the end meaning they limped out.

They secured 4 treasure tokens which saw then net a wad of cash, some magic weapons and items and a grimoire I'll lucky never use.

Not as successful as last game, but a wins a win!

A wide variety of adversaries to form the creatures of the night.

The boards set up with the warbands camp in the middle.

The creatures move in but the wizard spends no time blasting the vampire, possibly the most dangerous creature on the board.

The Barbarian, thief and crossbowman begin to get swarmed.

While a sleeping thug is killed outright.

The warbands zombie is ordered to hold the line now the vampire is out of the game, and kills three skeletons one after another.

The camps walls are breached and crawling with ghouls and other creatures.

A wild dog batters down the Barbarian while the thief kills four rats, only losing out the fifth.

The zombie holds his own against the imp and snow troll while the thug beats down the remaining small construct.

Only to have the wounded construct kill it in its turn.

The zombie once more batters the imp, snow troll and takes out the small construct too.

The crossbowman takes out the snow leopard just as he's jumped by two ice toads.

The zombie shows his worth by killing the snow troll but sadly succumbs to the wrath of the imp.

The Barbarian is taken out by the ice toad but recovers post game. Luckily as he has a magic weapon.

Making sure the imp is killed by the Infantryman before the creatures reinforcements arrive, other soldiers come to give him back up, but with a critical hit, he hardly needs it!
