Top photo above is the one .

As you say not much left.

Iíve read it was manned by an MG crew and reckon they scarpered pretty pronto. 😁👍
Ah, sorry, not the one at Colleville!   :D  There's a 'Vauban' described (and marked on the odd map) as being the middle of Riva-Bella and to the rear of the battery and director-tower position ('Rue Vauban' is one block to the rear of the director-tower).  I've walked around there and aside from a surviving 18th Century corner-turret there's nothing to see.  I've never found any photos of it or detailed plans and I was wondering if it was still a 'proper' fort in 1944 or just a fortified block of houses.

Todayís efforts .....

WN 20 Strongpoint COD at Hermanville.

This is a cast resin terrain piece designed by Colin Rumford.

COD was positioned at Hermanville smack in front of where the East Yorkís and South Lanka landed on Queen beach. This is another piece that I have considered amalgamates the main defence points into an objective that a Company of British Infantry are tasked with taking out.

They did just that on D Day.

SABOT your terrain pieces are fabulous, man you have some incredible stuff here from the various landing craft to the German strong points all worthy of a  museum! You must have a house the size of Buckingham Palace for all the great kit and models you have! Much respect.

Just a short half day today so some small additions to my ongoing saga .

Defence In Depth positions with Britannia 5cm guns . Turrets and guns fitted with two magnets to allow smooth traverse whilst keeping them securely in position.

Cheers mate . Have boxed up your figures for the landing craft and some figures I think might suit for a Beach Master set up and also FOB . Sending Monday all being well. 👍

I have  two spare 5cm ATG if any use to you shout out and they are yours. 👍
