I highly recommend the Realms of Chaos blog: http://nico-realmsofchaos.blogspot.com/2017/08/nippon-army-project-part-one.html. Tons of great Dixon eye candy.

The Ronin and Monks page is my fave: https://nico-realmsofchaos.blogspot.com/2017/12/nippon-army-project-part-three-ronin.html

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Wow, nice painting. This thread takes me back to my 1st Renaissance games with the WRG George Gush rules. Poles vs Samurai circa 1979. Samurai won due to having lots of double-armed "supermen".

I guess in '79 Dixon were 25mm?  Have they grown to 28mm now? I only ask as I may want to expand one of my Samurai skirmish forces which is mainly Perry. I know the sculpting style is totally different but are they roughly the same height.

Thanks.

superb paintjobs Arktos, Bugsda and Hunlion  :-*

I remember having some Dixon Samurai cavalry round about when they came out - thought they looked absolutely beautiful in the bare metal!

his sculpting style really suits that range.

I completely agree. There's always been something about Dixon I loved. Very characterful sculpts.
