Still going D-Day project
« on: April 20, 2020, 03:46:39 PM »
Thanks to all the great threads on this board and having some time on my hands I have decided to dig out my 20mm WWII stuff. I want to rebuild a project that I started about 15 years ago well before I joined this forum where I have picked up loads of inspiration, skills and techniques that I would like to apply to this project. I am not really expecting to spend a lot of cash on this as I already have most of the stuff and what I don't have I should be able to make myself
Some pictures of what I have at the moment
I have two beach boards one I made when I started this project and a second one that was made for pirates, the second one looks good but the first one will fit the map I am going to use

RF Book for D-Day
the map I am trying to build

and the allied force I want to put together

Old board makes 8' of coast but very narrow water

Other beach board I have

Cool stuff

That diagram makes you just want to build that force! Do you have more landing craft available?

And are you going to add some more sea, or just have them appear on the beach?

Brilliant. Love the AB british too. Are you doing any AB Germans for the opposition?  I have some on the to do list but need to finish my British platoon first ::)

They are a bit pricey but superb sculpts. The are great but got some Xan and elheim ones and they are good Germans  too.
