Might make the MAZ-535 artillery tractor - that is a bit more 'self contained'

Love this vehicle. I have some painted up for a home built version of Thunder Road in 6mm. There is something so appealing about the brutalism and size of some Soviet designs. The Tu-28 is another example. Lovely work. Can’t think what I would use one for in this scale except a post apocalyptic wreck. Zone Alfa maybe...See, I can justify one already!

Tis a thing of beauty. Well, ugly, utilitarian, brutalist, beauty but lovely none the less. It’s a bit like the old Birmingham Central Library on wheels and fucking big wheels at that.  lol

Thought I had a scale problem the wheels are 1600mm so at 1:50 that makes them 32mm...  which they are give or take half a mm.  But obviously 28mm figures are around 32mm high...

The solution is a 2-3mm thick base on the infantry making them 35mm high and to file flats on the wheels making them 30mm tall, which will correct it nicely :)

Wheels, suspension and the winch cabin.  Chassis is printing and even angled it only just fits in the printer

Started on the trailer.... 270mm long!  Seeing as my printers max dimension is 150mm this is going to be 'interesting'

The chassis is so long the printer can't lift it out the resin...

You know that cab assembly looks just about big enough to insert a small electric motor and gearbox. Come on, you know you want to. ;)

Its probably big enough to put Richards son inside to drive it. lol

The wife insists on feeding him so he keeps growing...

Hit it with undercoat so I can see what needs fettling.  The doors need reprinting and the roof and winch need a quick swipe
