1920s French Colonial Help
« on: April 26, 2020, 01:54:58 PM »
I just bought some of Askari's 1920s French Foreign Legion. They are now dressed in Khaki.
I am thinking about getting some other French units like the Spahi, Chasseurs D'Afrique or
Tirailleurs. Would they now also in khaki or would they still be in their traditional uniforms?

Inkpaduta, here is an awesome site with tons of plates of French forces. There are 1248 plates to sort through, but it’s well worth it!! I look forward to seeing your project come to fruition. I’ve got tons of 25/28mm FFL stuff unpainted.

Incidentally, for operations in North Africa between 1880 and 1914, both the zouaves and the turcos tended to use the white summer fatigue uniform I described above rather than their more colourful full dress garb. Meaning that they often looked pretty much like this :

Thanks Everyone.
I decided to go with the more traditional color
to give the board a splash of color. Maybe be wrong but
I like the look.

Hi, I've just seen a post by Wargames Foundry that they have found and re-released a pack of 1920s-30s French Foreign Legion. I recalled this thread and thought I would tip you off. They look very nice but those prices!
