That's shocking and sad news indeed. I did not know Andy personally but we'd been fellow forumers here and on the defunct Steve Dean Forum for over ten years. 52 is way too young to go.

Sorry to hear the news.
I did not know him,
but very much looked forward to see his painted figures here on LAF.

I had only recently begun to message with him (within the last several weeks), regarding some historicals I was painting. I liked his style of painting quite a lot. Seemed like a good guy. Bad news.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I met him regularly at Salute each year. Very sad indeed. I will miss him dearly. As I knew him for a very long time way back on the old Steve Dean Forum and later on Facebook and here. His distinctive painting style is something which will be missed here....

First came across his work on the Warlord Games forums too, and have followed it with great interest since.
Occasionally, the first I knew of a new set was upon stumbling across a freshly painted mini typically finished within days of the set's release. Over time, I started looking forward to his distinctive gritty take on a new plastic kit if I knew it was due for release soon, sometimes indeed more than the release itself.

Didn't think the passing of a person who I never met would hit like this, but he will indeed be missed.

Will be missed. Loved his painting style.
Best wishes,
Helen

A sad and untimely loss of a person, that having now seen his work and people's opinions, it would have been a pleasure to have had the chance to have known.

Deepest sympathies for his family and many friends. He clearly should have been allowed to stay longer.

I remember when Andy first started posting on the Steve Dean Forum and what a refreshing gritty, in the action, style he had.
