Back to Mars, first the rebasing
« on: May 05, 2020, 03:58:08 PM »
Been many years, but finally got the bug to play a few games of Colonial Mars in 28mm. But first I needed to organize and rebase my older figures. Wanted 1 "Banner' made up of two companies, one of shooters and one of cutters. Had to paint up some extra figures to fill out each Banner. But the first 3 Banners are done. 3 more to go. Then Cav and Guns.

GDW called them "Shield Gunners".

Really beautiful 1898 Martian army.  Those old RAFM castings are still nice, and very nicely painted.

Excellent! I especially love seeing a flag. There has never really been a good list of flags for Space 1889 Martian units available. A few have tried, but nothing extensive.

Great stuff, need to get my Martians finished!
I was tempted to multi- base mine but ended up basing them as individuals.
Not sure now

Steders,
I've gone back and forth on the single vs
multi basing for years.
But with the Martians looking at 150+ figs
in the end I went with multi,
Which reminds me gotta base up some more!

Marvellous work, well done.

I too have been tackling this as a project idea, after many years of collecting bits and getting distracted away from it with other interests, so your work is good inspiration - many thanks  ;)
