Advice please - gluing a tank to a base...

So, I have a 1/56 scale resin tank that I need to attach to an MDF base.
Will superglue suffice or is pinning recommended?

What kind of tracks?
How heavy is the model?
Why does it need to be attached to the base?

It’s a resin Warlord MKIV.
The tracks are part of the main body of the tank (i.e. not separate pieces) that have no detail on them. They’re sanded flat.
The tank is relatively heavy and I’m basing it on part for protection and also I like the look of it.
I’ve primed the area to be glued on the MDF base with watered down PVA with a view to preventing any glue from soaking in. I didn’t know if glue alone would suffice?

I'd go with a nice simple universal glue like UHU or Bostik, especially given the tracks are sanded flat. You'll get a good connection.
Alternatively, just have it sit on the table by itself.

Unless you intend to use it as an offensive weapon, white glue (PVA) should hold a bit of wood to the bottom of a model

If you want a tough, durable bond I'd go with two-part, 5 min Epoxy. Make sure there is a little paint and ground work between the resin of the tank and the MDF base.

Any white glue will be best...as somewhere down the road you may want to take it off the base for another project or something.

Thank you all for your advice.
In the end I settled on superglue. It seems to have done the trick... although I've locked it safely away since just in case!
