I have recently been interested in 1/700scale british /german models of ww2.

Trumpeter has german aicraft models like BF109, Ju87, Ar 195, Ar 196 and Fi 167.
Aoshima, Pit-Road and Flyhawk models are hard to track & expensive

Are there any other companies doing 1/700 models?
Has anyone bought shapeways 1/700 aircrafts? How do they compare to plastic models?

Is 1/700 critical?

If not then the Tumbling Dice 1/600 range is superb.
http://www.tumblingdiceuk.com/product-category/1600

(The Wings At War rules are really good)

Also O8 do a smaller range in 1/600 available here:
https://www.magistermilitum.com/manufacturer/oddzial-osmy-3mm-15mm-from-poland.html?cat%5B0%5D=61983&cat%5B1%5D=59554

The O8 figures are made of an incredibly hard alloy that is literally impossible to drill or cut so are not as "user friendly" as the Tumbling Dice range.

Fujimi once made a kit of 1/700 Royal Navy Planes that included a set of Seafire models, and three other post-WWII subjects. I think this set is OOP but you might be able to find a copy:

https://www.megahobby.com/categories/aftermarket-parts/model-ship-detail-parts/model-ship-accessories/aircraft-1-700-scale.html

There's a sprue of Fairy Fulmar fighters in the old Revell 1/720 Ark Royal model kit.

This company lists some sets of British subjects, including Fairy Swordfish:

http://www.avrmodel.com/en/68-1-700-aircraft

In recent editions of the Axis & Allies boardgame, the British heavy bomber model is a Handley Page Halifax, about 1/710 scale.

But I agree with robh. Most 1/700 aircraft are made to decorate warship models. For a more complete range, I recommend 1/600 white metal models.
You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

Go to 1/600 tumbling dice.
They have great ranges for ww1, ww2, and modern.
Here are a few I’ve painted and used in the past.

Those Gladiators are lovely.
We need a 1/600 aircraft gallery  :)

I didn't realize that Trumpeter made 1/700 109s.  I would have said that if you're doing 1/700 it ought to be pretty easy to find anything for the Pacific theatre, and British subjects in the Atlantic, but I didn't think you would be able to find anything German, except maybe a floatplane.  So, it's good to know Trumpeter makes 1/700 German planes.

In other circumstances I would suggest you order from Hobby Link Japan.  I'm in the States and have ordered from them - great service and pretty quick delivery time.  But I'm not sure any international deliveries are happening quick these days.

And the Flyhawk stuff is pretty incredible.

It will depend on the type of medium that is used to print the aircraft. These days, the quality of the prints is very high - the equal of plastic models when printed with Fine Detail Plastic in my experience. The issue is how good the actual designs are, rather than the quality of the prints themselves.
