That looks great - are there more planned?

JArgo, there is a whole range of Cossacks here:

The sculptor is extending the range to include WW1 Russian infantry. Please note that the base is not included. I added the base to the mounted figure using CAD software. Likewise, I merged the rider with the horse. It shouldn't be a problem to print the horse and rider separately; it is just a personal preference to print them as one.

darthfozzywig, the printer is a FormLabs Form 3. There are cheaper alternatives that should work fine: Elegoo Mars, Phrozen Sonic Mini, and Qidi Tech 5.5 are some examples that I have heard of (but have no personal experience with).

Thanks for your answers. Good work on merging rider, horse, and base. That’s a really good idea and a big time saver imo.

Thank you. For my 6mm versions, I add a unit ID to the base as well.

Wow, that’s great! All the 3d printed stuff I’ve seen has horizontal lines running through the models. This Model looks very smooth.

With resin printers, the layers become so thin that there is seamless merging to the naked eye.

Undoubtedly it will be, in some way. There are companies that 3D print wargaming products already. Resin printers are becoming cheaper and better quality all the time. But there will always be some who prefer to pay the extra for metal figures to avoid having to use a home-based printer. For myself, I can print off whole WW2 armies of vehicles and figures in 1:285 scale - bases and labels integrated with the figures. But I really enjoy designing and printing the items that enhance a battlefield and are not available otherwise.

Only a few days ago, it was time to prepare another division of British and another division of Ottoman soldiers for WW1. Quicker and easier to get these from Baccus, so very much a mix-and-match situation.
