Nicely done.
I often wondered with things like the Funnies, why no-one thought of
updating the Mantlet.  Tyres & maybe fold out 'flaps' would provide
some cover. Have them in the front of the landing craft, then
when the ramp comes down push it out (push out the 'flaps') &
advance up the beach.

Now you come to mention it, I think I've seen some trial photos of something exactly like that, though it may have been WW1-vintage (the memory is very hazy).
