The Throppeteers are back? Ye gods, man! Horror of horrors! Might I suggest that Wrench should be loading Sir Rufus’s elephant gun? Like the B&W by the way, very atmospheric.

Love it!   :-*   :-*

Morris dancers, cultists and heavily armed English gentry.   This should be an entertaining tale.

Nice! The photo reminds me of the H. Bogart film The Petrified Forest....with Morris dancers, which would be brilliant :)

Thanks for the comments :)

Here we have The Cult of the Worried Throppet (Borsetshire Chapter). These desperate and sinister minions of the The Throppet are the likely disturbers of the Borsetshire peace which have caused Sir Rufus Pitt-Bukstrode to interrupt his breakfast.

Great stuff, Doug!
Morris Men are an evil menace who strike fear into the heart of most right thinking gents.
It seems a few sturdy chaps (and chapesses) will be needed in Borsetshire at this perilous time.
 :)

Great moody 'B+W' shot there, very atmospheric.
 8) 8)

Them there cultists look pretty damn scary too!

Thanks, Paul. The Morris Men have already fled from the cultists so it seems they e come second in the scariness stakes... :). The only thing I can think of to equal any of them would be scarecrows....Hmmm, there’s a thought. Oh, and don’t forget country gents. They’re Veryscary :o

Nice work on all of those.  :-*

Hmm... makes me think of the Dark Morris from the Discworld books. Perhaps a few Morris Men all in black would be scarier than cultists.

Thank you Alcide; Traveller Man and Dave - I appreciate your comments.

Things are starting to move. PC Roland Smallbottom has had a somewhat peremptory summons from Sir Rufus:
“Get over to The Hall right away, Smallbottom. There's devilry to deal with. And don’t forget to bring your damned truncheon this time!”

PC Smallbottom hastens to comply but not before sprucing himself up. Indeed, he has been so vigorous in his sprucing that he appears to have polished his uniform as well as his boots.

Here he is, leaving the Much Rampling Police-house on his way to the rendezvous:

There’s a couple of potential players in this adventure, should it morph from solo to several, who fit that description perfectly.
