Paint Station
« on: June 13, 2020, 04:14:19 AM »
I made use of the lasercutter at work and made myself a couple of paint stations to store my paints. Also to hold the miniatures that are on the go. They great thing is it will (hopefully) keep my painting desk clearer so that I can pack it up after each use. The spaces near the top is where I used to keep the paints but some didn't fit and it was a bit of a nightmare to find the paints that I wanted. So now I can just slide the paint stations out and use the flat areas in front to hold my models and mix paints on (although I may not do that. a little reluctant to mess up my new toys). I may make some more custom pieces for the desk, sliding sections for the models so I can pull them in and out and choose the mini I want. If I get around to that I'll update this page even further.

Tray on the right (pic below) shows it pulled out. The whole desk closes up so it is good to have these able to slide back in.

Nice.  I think I would need six or seven sets of what you have for my paint - and in different sizes!

lol, I've got a few different sizes not catered for as well. In the centre I have some GW paints and a bunch of Tamiya paints loose in one of those shelves, This was a great exercise in getting rid of old unused paints too. I didn't realise how many paints I had kept that were bone dry or all but empty. :)

I have way too many paints at this point even discarding the old pots.  I use RUB for figures and paints and stack them on shelves.  Your solution is nice and compact.   Of course if I bought less...  lol
