The Jade Hood Gang
« on: March 20, 2007, 11:04:11 AM »
I have found that I have less and less time to paint anything myself. Between creating new stuff, keeping up with the work of Pete and Marc on their projects and just running the business, there is NO time to paint.

So, I have found that I have been buying painted miniatures or sending them out to be painted. While at Cold Wars this year, I spotted this lovely group and just had to get them. The Bob Murch figures were painted by Pictor's Studio and Bud and Lou had been painted previously by Patrick Connor.

Green is absolutely an option for Hooded Minions...  :o

I am planning to paint my first 'hooded gang' as an hommage to Hergé, though... trying to make them look like the guys from 'The Cigars of Pharaoh' (title translated from Danish - I'm not sure it's called that).

I just have to finish 4 British Tropical Command guys (Pulp Figures), then I'm onto the Evil Hooded Minions (and Tonka... again, again...)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Oh, and a question:

Are we going to see the Character 'The Jade Hood' in one of your .45A supplements?

At the moment, I'm eagerly awaiting AWS and Minions of the Jade Hood (placed an order... Saturday, I think... but I really need that fix to keep me going... been slowing down on painting the last week....  :? ), - so I can't tell if he(?) is in there...?

You will be very happy when you crack open the pages of The Gargoyle: Death Soldiers of the Jade Hood. Stats for the Jade Hood as well as Bud and Lou.

I believe he showed his displeasure at Historicon by dumping an entire bottle of black ink only pants as I rushed to finish some figures for the game.

I will appease him by making sacrifices to the god of sculpting.

Got it in the mail today, have been browsing  8)

One thing I wondered about: The Archetypes aren't divided into heroes/villains as usual - are they all meant to be 'neutral'? (Not that I strictly cohere to the division, I have used the 'Professor' as the leader of a villainous group (the German Archaeologists) in the scenario I'm writing and painting minis for.)

Yes, with the exception of the Rookie cop (who I think would be on the good guy side). All are neutral and can be used by either side.

I hope you enjoy it.

I have only browsed a few sections, yet (and I have posted a couple of other Q's in a new thread) - as i had to gobble up the rules  from AWS first (they may actually prove the fix I needed to get over the 'painting-blockage' I've been suffering the last 4-5 days... well, that AND the many fine pics of barbarians with naked arms and legs in the Prof.'s gallery...)

They might, as I'm going to let the most 'competitive' member of my gaming group control them.... BUT I will give him extra victory points for NOT executing good characters, should the possibility arise
