Detailing Sarissa's Colonial house for the Far East
« on: June 19, 2020, 08:20:07 AM »
As part of an ongoing 20mm WWII Far East project I've moved from rural settings and jungle huts to a more urban environment. I'm thinking Rangoon or Singapore and have used Sarissa's Colonial/North Africa buildings as the basis. This is my first attempt at trialling a few ideas before embarking on some bigger buildings. There's a full step-by-step tutorial here http://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/2020/06/sarissa-20mm-colonial-house.html

Very nicely done. Thank you. I will be bookmarking this
for use with my Indo-China project. That building would
be excellent for the Plantation boss' house. A prime target for
the Viet-Minh.

Nicely done! too many gamers just leave these models as is. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's spotted and used those cocktail skewers

Looks good! I see you also used the textured toothpick for balustrade railings trick. Works great!

I like the cracks and weathering, makes it feel lived in.

With the additional detailing work you did, I bet it feels like you could build similar structures without resorting to the mdf kit. I know that with my last resin kit, I spent more time correcting the errors in the resin pour than it would have taken me to build from scratch.
