Greek Odyssey
« on: August 05, 2009, 05:00:24 AM »
Hi all

I finished this town a few days ago and thought I'd post here. The buildings are all 6mm Irregular along with the Minotaur and the other figure statue. It took me a few weeks to make waiting for glue and filler to dry and while i worked on other things. I made two town parts which can be used separately and can be used as baggage in DBM/FOG. I originally brought the buildings to use for the Middle Earth but they weren't really what I was after.

I'm very happy with the way it came out considering how much filling and rework of the buildings I had to do. I realised its not quite finished as I like to airbrush the grass brown to create some dried patches.

The walls and gates are scratch built from plastic card and putty. I also made about 4 of the buildings to give me some extra ones without buying another set. The flagstones are from plastic card as well.

Both parts of the town

Very atmospheric, I like it. The details are great (stairs to the temple, the statue etc.), especially at this scale. Chapeau! :)

Hi

The tiles are about 2mm each.

Thanks for the comments. The Irregular buildings come up well with a bit of work!

Its a shame I wont end up using it and I will probably sell it on ebay instead. I have some ancient Eyptians so I was going to make something simlar for them (probably involving a pyramid).

Cheers

Hi

Righto, they are 160mm x 180mm which I think is right for DBM/FOG camps or BUAs.

BTW here's a picture with a 28mm gunfighter to give you an idea of the size.

Cheers
Kieran
