Hi guys and gals! First post on this forum. I'm mostly a Lotr player but recently I've been on a historical trip.

I've always been impressed by the life of Jeanne d'Arc and I've decided to build and paint a series of dioramas depicting key moments of her life.

The first diorama depicts Jeanne and her six companions on the way from Vaucouleurs to Chinon. The scene I wanted to capture is not documented but it's how I invision them seeing they are close to the safety of the walls of Chinon. Jeanne gives the spurs to her horse and gallops ahead taking of the itchy helmet she had to wear to disguise herself. She looks to the heavens maybe giving thanks.

On her right rides Jean de Metz. The leader of the group.

On her left is Bertrand de Poulengy.

A hobilar crys out in surprise as Jeanne spurs her horse on. "Wait girl! It's still not safe!"

Another soldier shouts a warning to Jean de Metz

A soldier is very excited as he sees Chinon in the distance. They are safe!

An italian crossbowman is not impressed by the action of the maid. "Ma che cosa fa?"

Don't blame him, it is a really nice place. I was there on my holidays last summer. They have a really cool lift from the lower town up the cliffs to the castle. I'm sure Jeanne would have enjoyed riding in it when she got there as much as I did. Ingenious fellows, those medieval sorts.

Really good, I like it.

Nice little touches added such as the hair inside the helmet as she takes it off.

I see some frostgrave Sildiers bits there on the pack horse. Is there anything that Soldiers sprue cant do?!!

I started painting the first minis fir the next diorama and the fist ines are finished.

Incredible miniatures! Especially the diorama of Jean with her companions!

And the fine details on the gamebesons are wonderful! That way the paintjob really looks like real fabric.

Where did you get the shields of the two knights? I am always looking and seem never to find really good shield ...
