Top notch work.

Are these minis 100% locked into the diorama(s) or can you potentially play with them?

Lovely stuff!

@Aesthete: they are purely for the diorama. Maybe oneday I'll make a playable army. I have no idea which rules would be best for the subject matter. I've only been a fantasy wargamer for now.

@HappyChappy439: I'm curently experimenting a lot. For the left knight I tried to acomplish a "blued" armour. The effect looks way better in reality. The foto doesn't work that well. I painted the armour silver washed it black and then applied a thin blue wash after that I drybrushed it softly with silver and applied some highlights.

The middle one is standard silver, wash, and various highlights.

The right one is silver, black wash, silver drybrush, some selected silver highlights.

But I will try many other ways since I wan't various armour looks that were common in that period.

Thanks guys!

Finished the first 3 french warriors for the second diorama. From left to right: A mercenary captain directing an attack, an advancing man at arms and a knight wading into combat.

Neat painting and the metal parts very well done!

Thanks!

The next 4 for the diorama are finished

A spearman maybe in the service of a minor noble house near Poiters, a mercenary with a twohanded axe, a noble knight wearing a fine jupon over his armour and a crossbowman who will get a pavise later.

The deep purple on that noble knight's outfit is very nice indeed!

Keep up the great work!

A group shot of the first french troops:

A mixture of french (th two on the left) and englisch (right).

I also painted the pavise for the two crossbowmen

more to come soon! I've got a lot finished but I'll post it in chunks.

Very realistically painted! I also like the tower on the pavise!
