Hello,

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE assembly line painting.   :-[

But, it does produce results.  Two additional units of Orc warriors are completed.  I am regretting that big 40 model bag I purchased years ago.  I did divided the bag into similar sculpts to make it easier with the mass painting.  All the figures are Demonworld.

I hope you like the results.

A close up of a the cadre with some troopers.

Thanks

Hello again,

That s right its more orcs!  You need a lot of these guys, you know.  Here is the 3rd wave of orc warriors.  These are all Demonworld sculpts.  With this complete the Orc/Goblin army is more than 50% complete and yes I have spreadsheets!  One more unit of warriors to go!

A close up of the 5 colors of tunics for variety.

"You're soldiers of Gondor. No matter what comes through that gate, you WILL stand your ground! ~ Gandalf the White"

To keep me sane while painting the horde I sneaked these Khurasan miniatures Trolls onto the painting table.  They are really enjoyable and are total brutes in size and presence.  They are bigger than Ogres.

As always thank you and I hope you enjoy.

Hello All,

This is the last Orc warrior unit.  This is the core of the army of course; 76 warriors in all.  Hurray!!!!!

These are the last of the Demonworld sculpts.  It came with a nice leader as well.

As always to maintain sanity a few little side projects were completed.

A nice camp scene using Essex minis tents and Bueda camp items.

The Orcs wanted meat back on the menu and to add to the village I also painted pigs.  The other white meat!

Lastly I have a 10mm Pendragon cat that I use as a 15mm familiar.  This is very tiny.

Enjoy and Thank you

I thought this was pretty cool.

I found a 3D file for stalagmites on Thingverse.  My son scaled them down and printed them on his 3D printer.  I coated them in super glue to minimize the build up rows when painted.  The painting was real  quick and I think I have some great cave scatter terrain.

I hope you enjoy

Thank you

LouieN

Amazing painted figures!  Wow.  Now you have me itching to try the fantasy genre.

About the stalagmites, for those of us without a 3D printer, is there a seller of printed ones in 15mm?  Does anyone know?

Thanks and keep up the incredible work.

Dan

Hello All,

I completed a knight that will represent my "Ranger" for a 15mm Rangers of Shadow Deep campaign.  He is of of the newer Khurasan miniatures, from their 13th century lines.

I present to you Sir Walter and his retinue, ready to tackle the darkness.  Sally Forth!

The band assembled.

Also do not be alarmed the next big batch of Orcs are primed.

As always Thanks and enjoy.

Hello All,

M work is always crazy around the holidays.  As such the painting has dropped off.

I did manage to get this group of villagers done.  During a family D&D session, one of the ways to pass time in 2020, the adventurers even had a chance to save the village from a band of rampaging Frost giants.

As always enjoy

Not a bad little a scene for 5 minutes of assembly.  It was a random encounter.

Hello All,

This was very much a random side project.  I got it into my head to make a pig pen for my painted pigs.

Here it is.  The farmer delivering food scraps while a bandit eyes the plunder.

This project did not start off well because the chipboard base totally warped.  I even tried the reverse side PVA glue and water technique.  Initially, it look liked it was going to work, but the end result is below.

My son saved the day as he 3D printed a very thin base that worked out great.  I have always struggled to find thin material for terrain projects that would not warp and this may be an excellent solution.

Enjoy and thanks

Hello All,

This unit seemed to take forever.  At least it is the last big unit for the Orcs.

Enjoy the missile firepower of the horde.

Thanks

Hello all,

Here we are again getting a good sprint of painting done.

First off we have my Orc Commanders.  These are lovely characters from Splintered Light Miniatures.

To escort them into battle we have the brute squad.  Heavy Orc foot also from Splintered light.

Orc armies are often  accompanied into battle by packs of wolves harassing the enemy forces.  Here is one such pack.

I was unsure how to accomplish the natural colors of wolves, being lighter underneath and darker on top.  A "reverse" drybrush method worked and I am pleased.

As always Thank you and enjoy
