Front Rank Miniatures Question
« on: October 16, 2012, 06:31:04 PM »
Will FR late 17th Century figures fit in with North Star/ Copplestone's original Glory Of the Sun/1672 figures?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Pretty much. I have a mix of both:

Those are Front Rank in the foreground and a mix of FR and Copplestone GOS (now NS 1672) in the background.

The FR figures are a little bit bigger and chunkier than the Copplestone figures (yes, they are huge!) but not so that you'd notice. I am one of those pernickety types who won't mix incompatible figures by size, and I'm happy with these alongside each other. They're not a perfect match, but close enough :)

Hope helpful.

Thanks  :)

There's lots more in my LAF 'Other stuff' gallery. I really should sort out a separate gallery for the late C17th stuff, as I have quite a few of them now...

Not wishing to derail The Gray Ghost's thread too much... (::)) here are a few more if you haven't seen them before... Front Rank and then Copplestone (now North Star)

lol

Thanks Simon.

Believe it or not, almost 10 years down the line, I’ve recently added to this collection with a sizeable force of mainly Front Rank late C17th figures that RedZed has painted for me. Just need to get them based up now… :)

He's painted some for me, too, also unbased, he's very good. I also have a bunch from David Imrie. At the moment, though, I'm obsessed with the slightly earlier fashions of 1672.
