Greetings from Lancashire!
« on: July 14, 2020, 08:08:52 PM »
Hello everyone! :D

My name is Andy, pleasure to meet you all.

I recently suffered a blood clot on my lung which nearly caused a massive stroke, to say the least it's given me a kick up the arse to want to get back to enjoying life and doing things that bring me joy. One such thing being this wonderful hobby of building, painting and gaming with miniatures. I've been looking to find a way to keep myself motivated at painting my models and felt that somewhere I could be active in a community would help and encourage me to do so. I really like the fact that so many different scales, themes and rules discussed and explored here. So I'll list a few projects I've got in the pipe lines, to give you a taste of what am into;

Agincourt collection to be used with Lion Rampant
Feudal Japan, Test of Honor/Ronin
Serval armies for Warpath and Deadzone
A couple of armies for Beyond the gates of Antares
A Frost Grave collection (all sorts of ranges)
Middle Earth SBG armies
Dark Age Britain for Hail Caesar

Am so glad to have found a forum that feels right for me, I look forward to hearing from folk!

Thanks again :)

Welcome, Andy!

I suffered a cerebellar stroke myself about 18 months ago, so I feel we are kind of in the same gang. Still have yet to get back to gaming, but I am at least painting again. I wish you all the best and hope you'll post some pics of your various projects as and when there is anything to show.  :)

Welcome Andy - good that you have got back into gaming - even if it was down to less than ideal circumstances

Welcome! I look forward to seeing pictures of your work!

You may already be aware of it, but as your interests include some Fantasy stuff I will draw your attention to the ongoing Modern Fantasy Painting Party. Lots of great figures there already to enjoy but still space for you to contribute should you wish to: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=124310.0
