And another little update to catch up my log here -- now finished with the pesky archers - which was the last group to finish the basic elements of the force.

On to the engineers, who still need some means of wheeled conveyance for materials.

And the boars - second half of this matched pair of bases which should be fun to use as DPs or some other table dressing.

It strikes me that the Infamy Infamy rule set will spark off a lot of vignettes and terrain types (buildings etc) much more than larger scale battles becasue smaller actions can play through them. I love seeing how people are making miniature village life rebirth on the table-top.

This collections looks grand.

Thanks gentlemen.

@UG - the vignettes are one of my favorite aspects of TFL projects. They add a real richness to the tabletop, IMO.

Most recent progress below - chariot group and a Gallic DP. Cheers!

Thank you both!

Back from a painting hiatus, with a single figure on offer. First output since returning to regular operations... Roman artillery and crew next on deck.

Cheers gentlemen, haven't been able to cobble together as much painting time as I'd like recently, but have been keep the fires burning since my return from some recent travels.

Finished the needed 6mm Velites for a big(-ish) Republican Roman army. Thinking AdG or possible Warwick Kinrade's new set of rules. (PSA: Never engage in unprotected velitio...) And about half of legion's worth of the rest of the troops. One day that line with be green, red. blue and yellow arcs the length of the frontage, ideally like a Peter Connolly illustration.

I'm sprouting my first Punes, too! I'll be expanding my Infamy project into earlier periods once I wrap up my Gauls and the few remaining EIR troops.

And lastly, on impulse, I could help but buy some of the Volsci from Aventine. Here's my first of these really excellent figures.

Not much progress on the 28s recently as I'm still hostage to a busy work schedule. I'm taking advantage of the shorter painting windows to push forward on the little guys until things slow down a bit.

Great job on that dude! The helmet is fantastic!  :-*

As for the 6mm folks...  :o  Very nice painting here. That phalanx looks tough as nails and the pikes are going to be magnificent when finished. The poor Romans are going to have their hands full fighting them! Republican Romans vs Carthaginians... some of the best ancient gaming to be had.

Like others before I somehow missed this thread completely. Great shame as there's some real eye-candy on offer! :-*
Nice to see another Infamy-inspired project. Or a couple, actually. The Punic Wars are high up on my own list of topics I'd like to delve into (even if I had wished to get some more opponents for the EIR first, Dacians in particular). Hope you get not too distracted by the tinies, lovely they may be. ;)
