Thanks, all.

Muzfish - the
These guys look great.  Do the Warlord Auxilia scale well with the legionaries?  I recently finished a few legionaries and found them to be more 'old style' 25mm than 28mm.

I believe the plastics and early metal WL legionaries are all done to match the original Foundry Perry sculpts, so are more like true 25mm. Aux are definitely 28s and they wouldn't mix well in the same unit. In their respective groups on the table they look fine to my eye.  I don't have much else except what was lying around from when I made the original purchase to compare to, but the scale comparison pinned to the top fo the forum might be a good place to look for a better visual answer.

Thanks for the information.

I won a box of the Warlord Auxilia years ago in a DBA competition and held onto it 'just in case' (as one does) so will give it to the kids for Xmas to go with their Victrix legionaries.  I'll hold onto the wee legionaries and do them as a small unit.

Second of three groups of legionaries.

And one of the retinue members, the Venalius.

Nice project!  :-*

The Romans look really good, but I think the barbarians are going to steal the show!  ;)

I agree with Raymondo. That part painted Barbarian, skulking top left, looks like he'd be a right handful for anybody to handle!

Brilliant paintwork and selection of figures

Who makes these two?

Very nicely done.

I have put a penny under the Warlord Legionnaires to raise them up a bit so the height difference is not as noticeable.

Much thanks, gentlemen.

dadlamassu - Those two are from a Warlord HC civilian set. Got a few more in the works from that group.

In the meantime, a chariot -

Cheers Atheling!

A couple new additions - more entourage of sorts, either APs or retinue members. WL for the ladies and casualty. Old WF for the boar hunter.

The problem with these Abu is that they are so good and so inspiring at a time when I should be panting something else  lol

The real problem is actually that they are so good they make you question whether you yourself are even worthy of having the same hobby as Abu lol lol

Thank you, all!

Finished the last group of legionaries for this project. That and the lot of them below.  Now on to finishing the archers and onto command and all the entourage/vignettes, like APs and such.
