Thanks Tonhel :)

Me too. They took quite some time to do. Adam has managed to sculpt a truly amazing amount of detail on these models.

I've bought at least 2 units of 24 of everything released thus far! (mainly 2 of 33). One might get the impression that I'm obsessed by the Early eastern Roman Empire :)

So you've finally picked up the brush again. :)
Always refreshing to see some pictures, of newly painted models in particular. Brilliantly done, mate!

These really do look superb painted up - lovely job!

Although I must admit my knowledge of the Byzantine empire is poor. What sort of era would these be from?

With the Aventine Early Byzantine range you're really talking the armies of Belisarius, Narses and Heraclius, so 6th Century CE. Fighting mainly the Franks, the Vandals, the Sassanians so quite an array to be getting on with. Of course there were internal struggles too.

If you haven't had a gander at the range it is well worth looking at:

I know.... I've seen quite a bit of the pre-production stuff as it has been moulded but no cavalry as of yet.  ??? ??? ???

If the Sassanids are anything to go one the cavalry will be superb  8)

Those are awesome! A friend of mine has the Aventine Imperial Rome range and I admire them every time he fields them. For those interested in learning more about the Byzantine Empire, I highly recommend the John Julius Norwich trilogy. Or for a condensed history, he wrote a single-volume one, too.

Keep them coming!
