Suggestions for iPad ancient style games?
« on: 26 July 2020, 04:01:25 PM »
I was always a massive fan of the original Game of Empires on the PC.
But that was 20 years ago!
Is there anything like that for the iPad?
I’m not a massive fan of playing other humans, I’d rather just play against the AI.

Ideas?
A millionaire trapped in a peasants body!

Wish I could help! I've been playing a heavily modified version of Rome: Total War for like 15 years myself  :D

No idea how that would work with an iPad, though.

I'm always surprised at how few good rpg's have been made.  The same few (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights) keep getting released for various platforms.

I would suggest checking out the Mac download store and see what that ratings are look at reviews.

I am sure there are some good ones out there (I just don't have time for gaming any more with little children).  Quite a few contemporary ones are faster than real-time and cartoonish.  Game play might be really good.

Personally, I've always liked turn-based strategy.

I’ve been playing Rome Total War for years against the AI . I think it’s based on the old Shogun engine.  I too would be glad of other suggestions for the I Pad .
