Here is a comparison of the Wargames Atlantic Germans with Tsuba Freikorps and Great War miniatures German Infantry. Once painted I think they will all alongside each other nicely but the Wargames Atlantic are a bit chunkier and the proportions of their arms are a little odd above the elbow.

I’m really likely to buy a box or two of these but I’ll wait before I saw more of the upcoming French opponents… ::)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Much appreciated! Looks like they will fit in once painted.

I just posted a review of the new release, with photos of the sprues (both sides) they sure look good to me! https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2020/07/wargames-atlantic-great-war-german.html

I'll admit - that pic has dulled my excitement somewhat. Something about those shoulders just doesn't feel right...

Yes, I feel the same, they look oddly beefy, in that sense they remind me of the Wargames Factory sculpts, which isn't a good feeling.

The German WW1 helmet seems to be really difficult to sculpt. A lot of figures from different manufacturers have problems with these.

Same with Adrian helmets! Sculptors seem to get into a fit over them; the Adrians on Warlord minis are atrocious.

Warlord minis are usually atrocious.

FTFY  :D

In fairness, the helmets don’t seem that bad. The arms could probably stand a bit of filing at the shoulders. I think I’ll get a box and experiment. If not happy, it will provide plenty of useful additions to the spares box.

I have to agree about the arms.  They don't look quite right.

Mine just arrived today. They look good and will add a lot of variety to my Great War Miniatures collection.

Yes, there are 6 spike helms on each sprue for the 6 bodies.

Community coordinator for wargames atlantic here,

Yes, you get enough of the 4 hat/helmet options for each of the 30 miniatures.

As to the arms, This is the first we've heard of such complaints. There are various painted examples up on the internet now. I enourage you all to hop on the wargames atlantic legion facebook group if you want some more examples.

some shots  of the Atlantic Minis built and painted on a table layout.  They are a great set Imo.  These were painted by Scot at Pure Sable painting.
