20mm Zombies
« on: January 02, 2024, 07:45:57 PM »
I am after suggestions for 20mm zombies compatible with the Mark Copplestones Gaslands figures.

Thanks in advance.

You want the two Dark Alliance boxes... Zombies 1 and 2. They're 1/72 and match the Gaslands models perfectly. It's what I use

I've got a decent write-up on em in this post: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=129236.msg1644146#msg1644146

Thanks, though I am concerned about the soft plastic and the flash issue you mention.

The flash isn't noticeable at all during play, but then again maybe my dodgy paint job helps hide the plastic imperfection.

Either way, I think your next best option is probably Elheim: https://www.elhiem.co.uk/ourshop/cat_813669-Zombies.html

Cool, thanks.

Lots of interesting stuff there - I noticed the Twilight 2000 cover stars.

I've used a combination of Dark Future zombies and the zeds from the apptly named 'Zombies' game by Twilight Creations.

They sell the minis seperately; I bought mine for €15,- in a bag of 100! There's only 5 poses, but for that price, and mixed in with the DF ones, they work really well. (now to paint all these b*ggers ::) ).
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I have a box of those somewhere (I think they glow in the dark).

I have hundreds of those from a long abandoned project.
PM me if anyone interested.

I spent far too long trying to make those Zombies!!! figures work with 28mm ones. They pretty much ended up on pedestal bases, although they did work - from a distance, as a horde ;D

However, I always thought those figures were 25mm, rather than 20mm, so I'm surprised they fit in so well.

These Dark Alliance Zombies don't look too bad...  ::)

I think they're great. A fantastic, cheap way to fill out a horde in 20mm. Flash imperfections aren't noticed at all during play.

Elhiem do a small range of zombies too. For the flashing issue of dark alliance plastics I use a tea light candle and a paper clip, heat up the end and run it along the flash lines I gets rid of it very well.
