First Age of Middle Earth project
« on: August 11, 2020, 03:51:12 PM »
Having considerably more time on my hands for painting lately and a bent towards Tolkien's work I have resurrected a stalled project from a year or so ago.

Originally I had planned on some small skirmish forces for Dragon Rampant. I have expanded that project into a true army raising for the much larger scale Oathmark and perhaps To the Strongest rule sets. So I'm back to work converting and painting Elves and Orcs with the goal of making a 5000 point value army, in Oathmark terms, of each.

I'll post a few pictures here and if you'd like to take a look at the whole project its posted over on my blog: http://whathocythereans.blogspot.com/

Elves:

Some Elven Knights made from Aventine Mintures Alan Cavalry and Perry WOTR horse.

The Elven host as it stands today.

For the Orcs:

Gothmog, Lord of Balrogs, made from a miniature from the  Blood Rage board game.

The Orc Horde

I'll update here as things progress

A great collection of figures. I like those Grenadier half orcs (I only have two or three and should get some more). The warg riders on your blog look great too.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.
