Having those gangster molls egg the men on......    how could they possibly do that?   They're not very formidable looking as such, and not terribly well armed.     Nobody's even wearing a uniform or has any armor or anything!   I mean, the one only has underwear and stockings!

I don't understand.   Please explain this concept and their effectiveness in more detail.   A lot more detail please.    ;D

Also, that diner with the sea life on it looks oddly familiar.......

Are there zombies in this?

Here are a few shots of our last game.  This one was basically a test game to see how well artillery works against well dug-in troops.  The answer is it works great as long as the nationalist commander keeps his gun out of rifle range so the crew doesn't get shot down - which is what happened.  The game resulted in a few changes to the artillery rules - especially giving it a longer range!

Last night we had the second battle of our ACW II campaign.  This one was a three way fight between a local colony of radical Artistes, the Trotskyite federales and the Morslems over control of local radio station KRAP (KFBK in real life).  The  aggressor forces entered the board at three randomly selected locations but unfortunately for the Artistes and the Trotskyites their entry points were very close to one another while the Morslems entered on the opposite side of the table.  As soon as the Artistes and the Trotskyites sighted one another the aggressive federale commander opened fire on the artistes (illegally acquired) ex US Army M1 armored car.  This initiated a close range gunfight which eventually resulted in both the armored car and the artillery piece being knocked out and considerable losses being inflicted on both forces before they withdrew from the field of battle.  While all of this was going on the Morslems advanced and captured the radio station with only a couple of casualties.  They then immediately changed it's broadcast format from county-western to Afghani yodeling music (no word yet on what the change did to the stations ratings).  Photos below.

Publicity disaster for the temperance league, their leader is caught drinking in bed with two prostitutes and a pig.  My god man! He was DRINKING!.    New leader promises a more sober organization and offers free bacon to any new members.  (No Game effect)

KRAP Radio programing change:  "They then immediately changed it's broadcast format from county-western to Afghani yodeling music (no word yet on what the change did to the stations ratings)"

Here is an external youtube link to traditional Afghani Yodeling music.

Very modern.  A ratings bonanza, no doubt.

And now.... back to our regularly scheduled campaign.

That's almost as bad as the "Piranha Man from Pakistan" singing Cats in the Cradle!

So far the factions seem to be as follows.

Mike B is running a polygamist cult combining the teachings of the Moslems and the Mormons.  Hence the Morslems.  Mohamad meets Brigim Young.

Mike S is running the Ziegfeld Follies, a local of the screen actors guild, led by the Female contingent.  They are using uniforms borrowed from a WWI Austrian war epic.

George G has a force of Radical Artists, currently using surplus German uniforms.  That may change with his next painting contract.

Vince B has a Helvetia liberation front, or maybe it is the Swiss Order.  Using a polyglot collection of uniforms.

Merrold Y has the Temperance league.

John B is fielding a combination of libertarian cowboys and Trotskyite Mexicans. They have a convoluted manifesto that involves land redistribution but with mandatory real estate agency fees.

Last but certainly not least we have Gary Bitters with the National Flange.  Apparently lead by a disgruntled pastry chef, for they are known as the “Bitter Flan”  fielding forces in BEF uniforms

14 of the 18 historical buildings we are using have been captured by a player.  Things should get interesting as the players will have to start bumping into each other.

Good afternoon everyone.  Being locked down during this Thanksgiving holiday (thanks Covid-19) I got kind of bored so I decided to post some photos of the buildings we will be using for downtown Sacramento in our ACW II games.  They are a mix of Plasticville, Ameri-Towne and another manufacturer I can't remember.  They were all built by me and my good friend KD47 - although I must admit he did all of high end weathering and computer graphics work.  Enjoy.
